A quick at-home facial treatment during social distancing.

Most of you are canceling any outings that are not crucial or essential...and that is a great idea and the world appreciates your cooperation.

I thought this would be a great time to fill you in on my Sunday home facial routine.

Step 1: MAKE YOUR "CRYO CUBE". Make a hydrating/vitamin ice cube. Fill a slot in an ice cube tray or fill a shot glass with water and a drop of Activate & Repair, SkinQuench, or other moisturizer. Place a spoon or tooth pick in it so that you can easily slide it out of the tray once its frozen. Once your cryo cube is frozen, move on to Step 2.

Step 2: SOFTEN THE SKIN. Apply a warm towel to your face and let it sit for about 2 mins.

Step 3: CLEANSE. Apply your cleanser and cleanse with a microfiber cloth or cleansing brush if you have one. If you have our Glycolic Glow Cleanser at home, apply it to your face and leave it on your skin for about 3 minutes. Remove with cool water. This will act as a mini peel. *Note: this is not the way you would use this product on a normal basis.

Step 4: CORRECT. This is your corrective product, this may be our PumpkinBerry Glow, MedSpa To Go, or any other product that is used once or twice a week as a skin repair treatment. Follow the directions and move to step 5. *You may skip this step if you do not have a product to use for this.

Step 5: CRYO CUBE. Yes, it is cold! This is good for you! Apply the cube in upward strokes around the entire face for about 5 minutes. Don't forget the under eye area.

Step 6: EYES. Apply your eye cream and then lay a very cold cloth or cold eye mask over your eyes for 5 minutes. Remove the cloth and use your jade roller or sonic vibration tool, if you have one, for 1 minute. Don't have the right tools for this eye treatment? Use your ring finger! Lightly tap around the soft skin under the eyes. Use quick tapping motions to correct puffiness and tired eyes.

Step 7: TRAP IT ALL IN. Apply moisturizer.

*Have a blemish? Apply a little Neosporin cream (not ointment) and keep your hands off of it!

*Blackheads around the nose or chin? Resist the temptation to push them out with your fingernails. Instead, follow this protocol: 1) Wash your hands 2) Clean the spot 3) Take two q-tips and gently press on both sides of the blackhead in a down-and-up motion. 4) Clean the spot again.
